The Quality and Safety Innovation Center is a free-standing center that supports integration of quality and safety competencies and concepts into nursing education and practice. Nursing practice is contingent on nursing education. Integrating quality and safety content into nursing curricula supports the development of practitioners able to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that emphasize quality and safety in patient care.
