Welcome

The Quality and Safety Innovation Center is a free-standing center that supports integration of quality and safety competencies and concepts into nursing education and practice. Nursing practice is contingent on nursing education. Integrating quality and safety content into nursing curricula supports the development of practitioners able to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that emphasize quality and safety in patient care. Moving forward, AACN’s Re-envisioned Essentials reflect quality and safety competency and will guide the advancement of nursing education at all levels. The Quality and Safety Innovation Center at The College of New Jersey will serve to provide education, consultation, and resources to those working to advance quality and safety competency in academia and practice.
